I thought Pillars Of The Earth was a great read. Loved it 15 or so years ago when I first read it, even if it was essentially a medieval soap opera centered around the building of a cathedral. People... Too long ? I could understand if you're checking it out of the library, but don't most libraries let you re-borrow it once at least.
