I do not get a good feeling about this woman and indeed a lot of things she has said have been lies, but this does not appear to be one of them. She said she put it on ebay and she did. That's no lie. If she'd said she SOLD it on ebay it would have been a lie.

There is plenty of ridiculous and blatant lies and shady ambiguities she has come up with, why not focus on those and the valid points instead of this? Fishing for scandal where there is none?

McCain said in a stump speech today "she sold it on ebay and she made a profit". She didn't sell it on eBay and she took a loss on it when she did sell it thru a broker. McCain is just in love with promoting eBay.....he needs to stop lying.

why isn't anyone asking what happened to the roughly 2 million she made on that deal? yes, she clearly is misleading the public on the words "I put it on Ebay". nobody puts anything on ebay unless they hope to sell it. so clearly she is omitting a part of the details that would make that story a clunker on the stump. MSNBC reported the story this evening that she in fact listed it on ebay, but it failed to sell and then she sold it to an acquaintance.

Palin never said she "SOLD" the jet on eBay. Here exact words were, as follows:

"I came to office promising major ethics reform to end the culture of self-dealing, and today that ethics reform is the law. While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the Governor's Office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for. That luxury jet was over the top. I put it on eBay," she said.

She said she "PUT" the jet on eBay. She made a symbolic political statement by putting it on eBay. Eventually it sold.
