WHAT ADS LIE WITHIN New Times
Here's the"expanded index" at the bottom of the
New York Times' redesigned front page. It's part of "some subtle but significant changes" to the paper's first four pages which "help readers navigate and mine the paper and its Web site,
nytimes.com." Also, it seems to be helping the ad sales department, because, holy shit, there's a ton more pitches crammed into the front there. The industry may be dying, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the actual paper. Nice work, kids.
