Though it's hardly tacking on eight extra episodes in Paris, a la Hills, the Project Runway finale sort of ... wasn't. Actually, this wasn't so much a two-part finale as an episode where absolutely nothing happened until the elimination.

The real meat of the episode was the choice between Rami or Chris for the finale—which, as previously reported, is kind of pointless since the final five (instead of the final four) each got a runway show this year. Undaunted, the fine folks at Bravo once again attempted to turn water into wine ...

We spent most of the hour playing catch up with Christian and Jillian. There only thing missing in the deeply padded footage was Ryan Seacrest sending the audience to a commercial break every time anything remotely interesting occured. A Cliff's Notes update: Christian is still bitchy and fierce, Jillian is still passive and aggressive.

The most interesting designer back stories belonged to Rami and Chris, mostly because Rami eerily resembles his mother in a way that's less hereditary and more like cloning. Then there was the revelation that Chris' friends are far weirder than him, in particular the strange Geppetto-like man who has taken to crafting a veritable museum inside a large Manhattan apartment. This city can really do a number on people.

Rami won a slot in Fashion Week over Chris, who was auf'd for a second time. He did add human hair to his designs.
