SPENCER PRATT: MALIBU’S LEAST WANTED

When he’s not causing door-slamming fights between roomies Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad on The HillsBrody Jenner manager, sidekick, and pimp Spencer Pratt likes to kick it at all of the right buzzy L.A. nightclubs—or so he would have you believe.

Spencer has been having a tough time crossing the velvet rope these days, a well-placed source on the Left Coast scene tells Radar. “Spencer can’t get in anywhere in L.A. He’s so hated that people come up to him on the street and verbally abuse him. Area is the only place that will tolerate him.” Makes sense. Area is the creation of L.A. scene-maker Brent Bolthouse, Montag’s employer and a recurring character on The Hills. Without Area, Spencer would have no backdrop for his drunken arguments and on-air makeout sessions.

So why all the hate when the cameras aren’t rolling? Could be a number of off-putting factors about Pratt. In a recent Brody Jenner profile in Details, Pratt revealed that he was the classy genius behind the plan to pair Jenner with Nicole Richie so that he could “get that skinny bitch to eat.” (He later said his quotes were misconstrued.) Spencer, 23, is also “VP” of six companies. Below, a quick rundown of what else we know about MTV’s newest meat stick:

• Spencer and Brody Jenner go way back. Pratt “coproduced” Jenner’s short-lived reality series, Princes of Malibu, which chronicled the Jenner brothers’ pampered existence under the rule of their stepfather, shmaltz-rock producer David Foster—yes, the man who brought America Josh Groban and Michael Bublé is somehow involved in this mess.

• Spencer’s management company, Innovator Management, has about four clients, though it’s tough to tell as most of Pratt’s “companies” have MySpace pages without any other Web presence. The clients are, not surprisingly, Brody, Heidi (who is cutting an album soon under Spencer’s tutelage), David Foster, and The Princes of Malibu (DVD).

• Spencer is VP of Archangel L.A., a company which appears to make silver jewelry that retails at two stores in Los Angeles. The goods are not yet available for purchase (or really even to look at) online.

• He also has his hands in the music industry, working on 143 Records (David Foster’s label for Atlantic, natch), and the nebulous Precise Music Group, which has one artist, YaBoy, a rapper big on the L.A. underground mix tape scene.

• Spencer and Brody are both “VPs of 310 Creative,” a company that animates Web graphics and designs celebrity websites. Among their clients: Nicole Richie, David Foster, Ya Boy, and the band Korn.
