Guest Editor Galliano to French Vogue

EDITOR IN CHIC Galliano
Collector's item for the mag hounds: The issue of French Vogue guest edited by gay pirate look-pioneer John Galliano that hits newsstands this week features two different covers with Drew Barrymore and a light projection of Galliano, Gemma Ward's "harsh" twin and Prada model Sasha Pivovarova in Galliano drag shot by Peter Lindbergh, and Canadian model Coco Rocha barfing up milk shot by Terry Richardson. The wealth of creativity that's been bubbling inside French Vogue just had to spill forth one day.

Mind the Gap: Phoebe Philo's dirty little secret is out. Ms. Philo, the creative power behind the Chloé label's phenomenal success over the last few years, has been working for the cookie-cutter apparel monster Gap and not telling anyone. (Why so humble? Even fashion snobs consider Gap to be a notch above Old Navy!) Following the H&M designer collaborations, Gap is launching the Roland Mouret line on Friday, December 1. Better late then never.

Hair snub: If you're still upset by the fact that the crotch-baring tabloid skank Lindsay Lohan gets to represent the famous fashion label Miu Miu, don't be, because it could have been worse. Page Six reports that Jessica Simpson was also considered as the potential face of the brand. The only deal killer with J-Simps was her loyalty to her "Texas pageant hair" stylist Ken Paves. Miu Miu campaign photographers Mert & Marcus would rather shoot Lohan that let Paves anywhere close to the set.

Gareth Pugh just keeps on giving: The London fashion radical has spent two days in L.A. constructing a blow up structure out of 60 silver emergency blankets supplied to him by Paper magazine. He must think people in L.A. are so lame they don't even remember the first time this neat trick was done by Andy Warhol.
